| Boot Camp for Troubled Teens
 White River Academy is a youth boot camp for defiant teenagers. The program has been designed as a military style teen boot camp, where the boys are expected to complete several different levels of training before being allowed to graduate. Priveleges, rewards and advancement are given as part of a Positive Peer Culture program. This provides an opportunity for consistent trust and integrity amoung students. If a teen fails to demonstrate trust and integrity, the number of privileges he enjoys will be decreased and the time he will stay at our juvenile boot camp will increase.
This teen boot camp facility has a large fully trained staff to supervise your child as he begins to turn his life around.
Certified teachers oversee and evaluate the children when they are participating in the academic portion of the youth boot camp. Teens are grouped according to their educational skill levels and are encouraged to achieve academic goals. Students are given more than a chance to get caught up with their school work while involved in this youth boot camp; they are given the opportunity to succeed.
Skilled medical personnel will supervise your defiant teen through the health and mental wellness program offered through this boot camp for kids. A doctor, and psychologist are on site once a week and are on call 24 hours a day to insure that each child has the proper medical care during their stay at White River Academy. Any medication given to the children, prescription or otherwise, is carefully monitored by the doctor and is administered through the staff.
The therapeutic program offered as part of this boot camp for troubled teens also includes Family Support Seminars and Self-Esteem Building sessions. Positive Peer Culture groups are provided daily for each of the teens attending the boot camp.
Physical exercise is a major component of the health and mental wellness portion of the youth boot camp program. Better physical health will not only increase self-esteem, but will also provide the boys with an opportunity to learn to be team players.
